The Amazing Spider-Man #101 in context
Why collectors care
The first appearance of Morbius, the Living Vampire, cover-dated October 1971 (published August 1971), created by Roy Thomas and designed by Gil Kane. Its significance is partly regulatory: it came right as the Comics Code relaxed its ban on vampires, making Morbius one of the first Code-approved vampire characters at Marvel.
