Editorial standard

Editorial standards & corrections

Mint Condition is evidence-first. These are the rules we hold every catalog entry, guide, and market figure to, and how to tell us when we get something wrong.

Sourcing

Market figures come from real completed sales, compiled as described in our sold-comps methodology. Grading claims point toward the primary authorities (PSA, CGC, BGS, CBCS, SGC) rather than restating rumor. Material, time-sensitive claims carry a visible source and a checked date beside the number, not only in a footer.

What we publish

Item identity (name, set or issue, edition or printing, year, grader, grade), verified sold-comp ranges and medians by grade, and collector context that explains why an item matters. Every displayed aggregate is meant to be traceable to the sales behind it.

What we will not publish

No price estimates, trend percentages, or population figures we cannot source. No investment advice or guaranteed-value language. No fabricated testimonials, manufactured urgency, or invented reviews. When the data is thin, we show the small sample size rather than dressing it up.

Independence

Mint Condition earns affiliate commissions on some outbound purchase links at no extra cost to you. Monetization never influences which items we catalog, the sold prices we report, or the guidance we give. Full detail is in the affiliate disclosure. Mint Condition is not affiliated with PSA, BGS, CGC, CBCS, or SGC.

Updates and review

Comps are refreshed on a rolling basis, and the "last checked" date on each item is the honest indicator of how current that sample is. Guides are reviewed as grading fees, services, and market conditions change, and material updates are reflected in the page's dates.

Corrections

If a figure, date, or fact looks wrong, tell us and we will re-check it against the source sales and correct it. We treat a verifiable smaller picture as better than a larger one we cannot defend. Send corrections through our contact page.
