The Daredevil #7 in context
Why collectors care
The first appearance of Daredevil's red costume, cover-dated April 1965, the design that has represented the character ever since and the one used in every adaptation. The issue is also celebrated for Daredevil's fight with Namor.
How to identify it
Daredevil #7, April 1965. Issues #1 through #6 feature the original yellow-and-black costume; the red suit, designed by Wally Wood, debuts here.
Common mistakes
Assuming Daredevil #1 shows the familiar red costume: it does not. If you want the iconic look, this is the book.
Grade considerations
The red-heavy cover shows spine color-break and edge wear clearly. High-grade copies are considerably scarcer than raw availability implies.
