The Lt. Surge's Magneton 8/132 in context
Why collectors care
Lt. Surge's Magneton is the Gym-era entry in a Magneton run that spans Base Set, Fossil and Team Rocket, all of which are in this catalog. Character-run collectors typically want all four.
How to identify it
Number 8/132 from Gym Heroes. Four distinct WOTC-era Magneton holos exist: Base 9/102, Fossil 11/62, Team Rocket 11/82 and this one.
Common mistakes
With four WOTC Magnetons across four sets, the set symbol and printed total are the only reliable identifiers.
Grade considerations
Centering and holo scratching limit most copies; the metallic artwork shows surface marks clearly.
