The Superboy #68 in context
Why collectors care
The first appearance of Bizarro, cover-dated October 1958, created by Otto Binder and George Papp as a "mirror image" of Superboy. Bizarro became one of the most culturally recognizable Superman concepts, entering ordinary English as an adjective.
How to identify it
Superboy #68, October 1958. This is the Superboy-era Bizarro; the adult Bizarro follows later in the Superman titles.
Common mistakes
Confusing the Superboy #68 debut with the later adult Bizarro appearances in Action Comics.
Grade considerations
A late-1950s book from a title that was not heavily preserved. High-grade copies are scarce.
