How to identify it
Strange Tales #110, July 1963. The cover is a Human Torch story ("The Human Torch Vs. the Wizard and Paste-Pot Pete!") by Kirby and Ayers -- Doctor Strange is not the cover feature. Buyers expecting a Doctor Strange cover on his own first appearance are often looking at the wrong book. Wong also debuts in this issue.
Common mistakes
Confusing this with Strange Tales #115, which contains the Doctor Strange origin story and is a cheaper, more common book. Also watch for the Golden Age Strange Tales run and later reprints; confirm the 1963 issue and the 12-cent cover price.
